We are seeking an IT Deployment Engineer to join our Group IT Services Operations team. In this role, you will coordinate and oversee software releases and deployments across the Bank’s production and non-production environments, ensuring reliability, accuracy and smooth delivery of technology changes.
This position is ideal for someone with strong understanding of software deployment processes who enjoys bringing teams together to solve problems and ensure operational excellence.
You will work closely with developers, engineers, IT operations teams, business stakeholders and subsidiary teams, supporting the Bank’s technology transformation journey across on-premise and cloud environments (Azure / AWS / GCP).
Your key responsibilities will be:
Coordinate and execute software deployments across central, peripheral and cloud environments
Monitor deployment progress, troubleshoot issues during execution and ensure successful completion
Manage deployment approvals & documentation
Manage & development of scheduling through job-scheduling tools (e.g. Control-M)
Drive the automation, simplification and optimization of deployment processes
Support implementation of new technology solutions and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure deployment processes follow established controls and release governance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure resilient, secure and high-performing banking platforms
You'll be great candidate if you:
3+ years of experience in IT operations, software deployment/release management, or application support (preferably in banking or similarly structured environments)
Understanding of application software deployment tools & methods (Linux, Java-based applications, job scheduling tools such as Control-M)
Experience with cloud deployment practices (Azure, AWS and/or GCP)
Familiarity with mainframe environments (OS/390, AS/400, JCL, CA Endevor) is a plus
Strong stakeholder coordination skills and ability to communicate clearly with technical & non-technical audiences
Fluent in Greek and English, able to build trust and influence teams
