Energean is seeking to employ a Junior Finance Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team in Athens. The role involves the preparation, gathering and interpretation of technical, financial, and economic data for financial analysis used for strategic decision making such as investment decisions and funding needs. The person will work with all levels of seniority within the Finance, Commercial and Technical functions of Energean.
Key Accountabilities
Update DCF, valuation and economic financial models using historical data and forecasts based on various (industry-related) metrics (commodity price, FX, interest rates)
Support and co-ordinate the Year End Reserves Report process working with the Technical, Commercial and Accounting/Planning teams
Conduct economic analysis for existing/new oil and gas and carbon storage/emissions reduction projects and operations across our areas of operations in Greece, Italy, Egypt, Croatia and UK (NPV, IRR, ROI)
Analyse financial metrics in specific projects (revenue, profitability, cost, etc.)
Apply appropriate sensitivity and scenario analysis to support investment decisions
Assist in preparation of Management, Board of Directors, or external stakeholder presentations, loan monitoring/reporting
Research of industry trends, analysis of economic factors such as inflation, foreign exchange, and commodity prices
Support in bank and rating agency credit processes, loan monitoring and reporting for Lenders and Bondholders
Support in debt raising activities, in particular company presentations, financial modelling, due diligence, and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related field
Master's degree in related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, accounting, banking or advisory. Big 4 and/ or Oil & Gas/ Energy Industry experience will be considered a plus
Excellent command of the English and Greek language (oral and written communication)
Computer literate and experienced with MS Office suite of applications. Excellent Excel skills
Reading and understanding of financial statements and financial/ economic models
Hands on experience with financial models/ cashflow modelling
