ELVALHALCOR - Copper & Alloys Extrusion Division

 is searching for detail-oriented TECHNICAL BUYER responsible for processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers and evaluating proposals, to join our Supply Chain team in our plant in Oinofyta, Voiotia, Greece

Role Description

Key Responsibilities:

•    Follow company’s purchasing procedures, guidelines and policy
•    Ensure the timely and correct ordering of all materials and services
•    Establish good communication & close cooperation with all interfacing departments 
•    Prepare and issues purchase orders and contracts to the awarded suppliers
•    Handle logistics of the ordered materials, aiming at their timely and cost-effective delivery
•    Negotiate with suppliers, evaluates their performance, and continuously seeks for alternative procurement sources for cost reduction

Requirements:

•    University Degree in the field of Engineering 
•    Educational background in Supply Chain or Finance (accepted)
•    Master’s degree will be considered an asset
•    Previous experience of 2-3 years within Procurement is preferred
•    Full professional proficiency in English
•    Strong computer proficiency, and advanced use of analytical software programs, e.g. Excel, Minitab
•    SAP MM module knowledge will be considered an asset
•    Team player 
•    Strong organizational and time management skills
•    High sense of responsibility with special emphasis on compliance with company’s procedures and code of conduct
