senior devops/cloud engineer – azure (relocation to cyprus)

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps/Cloud Engineer with Azure who will be part of the client’s "Capabilities and Engineering" team in the Public Cloud Transformation division and who will work from our department in Cyprus in a hybrid setup. In this role you will be working on standardization for DevOps practices, developing Terraform templates, supporting Infrastructure as a Code approach, working on pipelines optimization and helping application teams to deliver their code to Azure in a seamless way.

Responsibilities

• Work with architectures and configurations according to Microsoft recommended practices, Azure Reference Architectures and Microsoft Cloud Design Patterns

• Develop the required platform capabilities according to the client’s development standards, guaranteeing quality and backward compatibility

• Suggest and implement improvements for the design and implementation process

• Make sure that the platform capabilities are implemented and made available according to the security control and service management framework

• Communicate with Security, Architecture, Platform squads in order to make the best valued product

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience working in similar positions

• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure as a DevOps/Cloud Engineer (Azure IAM, Cloud Networking, Application Patterns, Security)

• Technical knowledge and understanding of Cloud Networking (Virtual Networks, Network Security Groups, Firewall), Cloud Native Application Patterns, Azure Security and Operations

• Experience with development of infrastructure as code (Templates, Terraform, Azure Automation, Azure DevOps, Git)

• Linux/Windows SysAdmin level experience, basic Bash and PowerShell experience

• Knowledge of DevOps culture and principles

• Strong analytical and conceptual skills

• Understanding of Azure Infrastructure concepts for IaaS, PaaS, SaaS services and being able to learn from the Azure documentation

• University degree in Engineering, Computer Science or comparable experience

• Fluent English skills is a must
