senior business analyst with banking experience

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to oversee and drive the business analysis activities of a pivotal project for one of the largest Greek banks.

The goal of the project is to deliver a fully functional new retail mobile app for both iOS and Android platforms, designed specifically for the bank's UK retail customers. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in business analysis and mobile app development, particularly within the banking industry.

The remote option applies only to the Candidates who will be working from any location in Greece.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Delivery Manager (DM) on Business Analysis process setup and improvements

• Partner with the Client Product Owner (PO) to understand product vision and roadmap

• Work alongside the Client PO and DM(s) to define and align on project scope, including the validation of estimation assumptions

• Engage with Product, Project, and Program management to elaborate on business targets and expectations

• Coordinate alignment with the client’s UX/UI teams to ensure consistency with project goals

• Lead requirements elaboration, elicitation, analysis and prioritisation

• Manage the product backlog collaboratively with the Client PO by building and prioritising user stories and forming sprint backlogs

• Provide ongoing support for Delivery Teams on a sprint-to-sprint basis, including user story refinement, AC clarification and testing coordination

• Study the existing mobile app to document the "AS IS" system

• Take ownership of developing new capabilities in accordance with the project roadmap

Requirements

• Proven experience of over 3 years as a Business Analyst or Product Owner

• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

• Expertise in setting up and managing BA processes, including improvements and maintenance

• Background in Scope Change Management

• Knowledge of mobile app development with an understanding of mobile UX fundamentals

• Practical experience working in Agile environments, especially Scrum

• Proficiency in using Azure DevOps for scope backlog management

• Excellent command of written and spoken English (B2+ level)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Greek working culture

• Basic knowledge of the Greek language

• Understanding of the banking sector and its operations
