infrastructure engineer (gcp)

We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer specializing in Cloud Operations to join our team.

You will play a vital role in modernizing and standardizing the IT landscape of our client's power plants across Greece through cloud migration and digital transformation.

This position requires readiness for business trips across Greece. Candidates should be prepared for occasional travel within the country as part of their job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (especially GCP) and experience in designing, deploying, and scaling infrastructure for complex business solutions
• Proven experience in migrating and modernizing applications and systems to the cloud, including working with high-performance services and infrastructure
• Expertise in optimizing cloud resource performance, security, and cost, applying best architectural practices
• Ability to independently tackle complex technical challenges, manage projects, and work within tight deadlines
• Strong proficiency in English (B2 level or higher), with fluency in Greek to facilitate effective communication with local teams
• A results-driven mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality work

Requirements

• Design and implement cloud migration strategies for infrastructure and applications, while optimizing existing cloud resources for better performance and cost efficiency
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and security of cloud services across power plants in Greece
• Implement and maintain cloud security best practices, including data encryption, access control, and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Lead efforts to improve and standardize cloud infrastructure processes, creating efficient, scalable solutions
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and rapid deployment of cloud solutions
• Develop strategies and plans for scaling cloud solutions to meet growing business demands
