The team is a technical engineering team within Deloitte focused on AI assets and software development. We build custom AI SaaS solutions and deliver technical AI projects for clients. We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our SaaS product team. You will design, build and maintain production‑grade software and AI‑powered applications, working closely with product owners, developers, data scientists, cloud engineers and business stakeholders. You bring strong hands‑on experience with Python and Azure, a product‑minded approach, and a drive to raise the bar on code quality, security and operational excellence. You will:

• Design, develop and maintain scalable, resilient, production‑ready applications with clean architecture

• Develop and document APIs and integrations with internal and third‑party services

• Define and uphold coding standards and best practices across the codebase

• Build and ship GenAI features end‑to‑end (LLMs, RAG, agents, prompt engineering) and integrate ML models and data pipelines into production

• Develop cloud‑native solutions on Azure, using services such as App Service, Functions, Service Bus, Event Hub and Azure OpenAI, and containerisation with Docker

• Own and improve CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), including automated testing and security scanning

• Apply secure‑by‑design principles and ensure GDPR and data protection requirements are met

• Write and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, end‑to‑end) and monitor performance and reliability using observability tooling

• Collaborate in an agile/Scrum environment, communicate clearly with stakeholders and mentor junior developers while contributing to technical documentation

Key Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development with production deployments

• Strong Python (packaging, async, testing, performance)

• Hands‑on Microsoft Azure (App Service, Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, Azure OpenAI, etc.)

• Docker and CI/CD (Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions)

GenAI & Data

• Proven experience delivering LLM‑based features to real users (e.g. RAG, agents, prompt engineering)

• Active use of AI‑assisted coding tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code)

• Data integration with SQL/NoSQL databases, object storage and external APIs

Quality & Security

• Solid software design principles (SOLID, clean code, design patterns)

• Automated testing (unit, integration, end‑to‑end) as part of normal workflow

• Security awareness (OWASP, secure coding, secrets management, least privilege)

• Observability (structured logging, monitoring, alerting)

• Comfortable working in agile/Scrum, collaborating with product and cross‑functional teams

• Experience in SaaS / product environments

• Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform/Bicep), and/or front‑end (React/Angular)

• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Airflow or similar tools
