senior cloud engineer (azure) @ thessaloniki

We’re looking for a skilled Azure Cloud Engineer who will play a key role in modernizing our applications and advancing our Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. You’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team that manages and evolves our Sovereign Cloud Switzerland platform while contributing to global initiatives.

As Azure Cloud Engeineer you will: 

• Lead the migration and modernization of on-premises applications into the Azure cloud, shaping solutions across rehosting, replatforming, and refactoring.

• Design, develop, and test Azure resources that power our modernized applications.

• Enhance and maintain the core cloud platform components—from packaging and testing to release integration.

• Automate deployment of platform and application workloads, enabling faster and more reliable delivery.

• Continuously explore and adopt new tools and practices to improve our cloud ecosystem.

• Share knowledge and contribute to growing the technical capabilities of the team.

#OurRequirements 

• A structured problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset.

• Degree in Computer Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.

• Certified in Azure Admin Associate (AZ-104) and Azure DevOps Expert (AZ-400) (additional cloud certifications are a plus).

• Solid experience migrating workloads from on-premises to Azure (tools like Azure Migrate, ATAData).

• Hands-on expertise with automation & provisioning (Ansible, Terraform, Bicep, Bash, PowerShell, Python, C#).

• Strong knowledge of Windows & Linux environments; familiarity with infrastructure (databases, Active Directory, DNS, firewalls, networking) is a big plus.

• Experience working with agile development practices.

• Curiosity, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit—always eager to learn and share.
