Your role as a Manager in our Accounting and Reporting Advisory team will focus on participating in client engagements, providing support on complex accounting issues related to financial instruments and their accounting treatment, including valuation of derivatives and hedge accounting. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills, particularly in relation to accounting standards for financial instruments under IFRS and US GAAP.
In this role, you will develop your leadership skills and your technical skills; you will build relationships and exercise your communication skills to positively influence your peers and other stakeholders. You will commit to the department’s goals; you will share knowledge and experience with others, and act as a strong brand ambassador, embracing our purpose and values in order to put these into practice in your professional life.
During your tenure as a Manager, you will demonstrate and develop the ability to:
Provide technical accounting advice and support to clients on complex accounting and reporting issues with emphasis on Treasury Transactions (e.g. Debt vs Equity Classification, Hedge Accounting, Derivatives Valuation, ECL models etc.)
Advice clients on the implementation of new accounting standards
Support clients on conversions to IFRS/US GAAP
Carry out and support business development activities to create new opportunities
Produce high-quality work products and collaborate with your colleagues to deliver a superior client expertise
Cooperate with other Deloitte service lines on multi-disciplinary projects (e.g., M&A transactions, IT implementations)
Deliver key messages with clarity, confidence and poise to instill confidence in clients
Develop people through effectively delegation tasks and providing guidance
Apply a global and diverse perspective to problem solving

Specifically, candidates should possess the following attributes:
Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience (i.e. External Audit, Accounting Advisory or IFRS reporting and other) in an audit & consulting firm
University degree in Accounting & Finance, Business Administration and/or related subject
Master’ degree from top-tier universities in Accounting & Finance or related subject will be considered an asset
Relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) in progress or completed
Comprehensive working knowledge of accounting principles for financial instruments in accordance with IAS 32, IFRS 9, and IFRS 7
Commit to continuous learning and gaining exposure across multiple industries to broaden expertise.
Proficient user of MS Office
Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Greek and English
Strong organizational skills with a focus on delivering high-quality work using appropriate tools and methodologies
Keen on leveraging advanced analytics and BI tools to streamline and enhance day-to-day activities is considered as an asset
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Military obligations fulfilled, where applicable
