Are you ready to start or further develop your career in Microsoft Azure? We are looking for a proactive, curious and detail-oriented Junior Azure Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will learn from experienced cloud engineers, support our Azure tenants, and contribute to the Sovereign Cloud Switzerland platform. You will help us modernize and migrate selected workloads to Azure while building practical skills in cloud operations, automation, DevOps and secure platform engineering.

As Junior Azure Cloud Engineer you will:

·       Support the modernization and migration of applications from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure under the guidance of experienced cloud engineers.

·       Assist with the deployment, configuration and testing of Azure resources required for application and platform workloads.

·       Contribute to the development and maintenance of automation solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code and scripting technologies.

·       Participate in the maintenance and continuous improvement of our cloud platform and operational processes.

·       Support troubleshooting activities and help resolve platform and application issues together with the team.

·       Learn and apply cloud engineering best practices while continuously developing your technical skills in Azure and DevOps technologies.

·       Collaborate with team members and contribute ideas that help improve the efficiency, reliability and security of our cloud environment.

#OurRequirements

• (0–2 years of relevant experience) with strong interest in cloud technologies and motivation to build a career in Microsoft Azure and DevOps

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and cloud computing concepts

• Exposure to scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Bicep, or Terraform through studies, internships, personal projects, or work experience

• Foundational understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, networking fundamentals, DNS, and identity management

• Proactive, curious learner with strong communication skills; adaptable and eager to learn new technologies

• Thrive in collaborative team environments; willing to share knowledge with teammates

• Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) preferred; Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) is a plus

• Any hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, or cloud migration projects would be advantageous

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe would be beneficial

• Contribute under guidance, support implementation, and develop platform engineering practices within the team
