Our Data Engineering Team as part of our Engineering, AI & Data service line in Thessaloniki operates in diverse teams, has a detail-oriented mindset and analytical thinking skills, understands and interpret business requirements and transform them into actionable data processes.

In your role in Deloitte, you will be focused on functional analysis and development of data management processes, while working with a progressively - increasing autonomy within multi-functional teams.

For a full coverage of your role, you ought to be able to:

•    Design and implement PaaS solutions using Public Cloud offerings and hybrid clouds.

•    Design and build data analytics solutions on the cloud and on-premise.

•    Design and Develop data pipelines / APIs /ETLs using Python, SQL, PySpark or SSIS and Azure or AWS Methods.

•    Work with large relational databases and big data platforms on data management platforms development and optimization

•    Build large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines with data processing frameworks in AWS or Azure cloud platform.

•    Produce a high-quality work product and collaborate with others to deliver a superior client experience

•    Use an analytical, data-driven approach to drive a deep understanding of fast-changing business.

•    Deliver key messages with clarity, confidence and poise to instill confidence in clients

•    Apply a global and diverse perspective to problem solving

•    Work with a distributed team and deliver your tasks independently

•    Fruitfully cooperate with inter-functional and international teams

Technologies you will work with include but are not limited to, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Airflow, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, Git, Jira, Oracle Data Integrator, and Qlik Data Integration Suite.

Key Qualifications

The ideal candidate meets the following requirements:

•    Bachelor / Master’s degree in Computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or in similar technical-scientific disciplines (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Statistics);

•    Knowledge of Data Warehouse and Big Data principles and Database and Big Data Technologies

•   At least 2 years of relevant working experience

•    Strong command of SQL, Stored Procedures and ETL flows

•    Working experience in CI/CD

•    Good command of Python

•    Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

•    Eagerness to continuously develop skills on emerging technologies

•    Strong ability to communicate in Greek and English

•    Willingness to travel, domestically and abroad

•    Military obligations fulfilled where applicable

Bonus Qualifications

•    Experience with Azure data services or AWS data Services and ETL tools (e.g., MS SSIS, Oracle Data Integrator etc.) will be considered a plus

•    Experience in DevOps methodologies for Data. Hands-on experience in Azure DevOps will be considered a plus

•    Experience in Financial Services / Energy sector will be considered a plus
