senior automations engineer

The Senior Automation Engineer will design, develop, and maintain automation solutions to optimize workflows, improve system efficiency, and integrate internal tools. This role involves working with APIs, scripting, and automation frameworks to streamline operations across engineering, product, and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain payroll automation scripts, workflows, and integrations.
• Optimize business and engineering processes through automation.
• Plan, design and implement API integrations between internal and external systems.
• Collect and document users' requirements and develop specifications for the automations.
• Assess, test, and troubleshoot automation tools, integrations, and scripts for improved functionality and reliability.
• Automate monitoring, alerting, and quality assurance processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement automation opportunities.
• Maintain documentation and best practices for automation solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data, automation or DevOps.
• Proficiency in Python (or another scripting / automation language).
• Experience with workflow automation tools (Knime, Airflow, Zapier, etc.).
• Strong understanding of API integrations and RESTful services.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience with ETL and data pipeline automation is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
