senior android engineer / team lead new

Our client is seeking a Senior Android Engineer / Team Lead to join their growing team in Greece. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on developer with strong experience in Kotlin, Java, and Android Automotive OS, capable of contributing to both software development and architecture, while mentoring and leading a small team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a small Android development team while remaining fully hands-on.

• Design, develop, and maintain applications within the Android Automotive OS ecosystem.
  Contribute to software architecture and ensure integration with in-vehicle subsystems.

• Collaborate with cloud and embedded teams across Germany and Romania

• Ensure high-quality delivery through testing, code reviews, and performance optimization.

Tech Stack

Backend: Java, Kotlin
Frontend: Android Automotive OS, custom infotainment systems, UI integration
Cloud / DevOps: Exposure to cloud systems, CI/CD environments
Database: Embedded data handling
Other Tools: Spark OS, proprietary App Store, navigation and connectivity modules

Must-Have Skills

• Strong experience with Kotlin and Java for Android development

• Deep understanding of Android Automotive OS and infotainment systems

• Proven experience in software architecture and system integration
  Excellent communication and leadership abilities

• Hands-on, proactive approach in cross-functional international teams

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of C++ for embedded components

• Familiarity with cloud connectivity and navigation features

• Experience working with Agile and continuous delivery environments
