This is a full-time hybrid role for a Python Developer at our client’s. As a Python Developer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks of back-end web development, software development, and object-oriented programming (OOP). Your tasks will also include programming and working with databases. You will collaborate with the team to develop and implement efficient and scalable solutions, ensuring the smooth functioning of their applications and systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build customer-facing and internal APIs
• Collaborate directly with the development team to amplify and optimize their workflows
• User cutting-edge research projects from proof-of-concept to production
• Implement customer-facing and internal projects and participate in their design
• Design efficient and tailored solutions by applying appropriate software engineering patterns and principles
• Adopt, understand, and propose relevant enhancements to their existing codebases and systems
• Deploy infrastructure, automation, and monitoring of systems and services
• Develop or leverage an understanding of adjacent technologies and their merits and demerits

Qualifications

Required

• 3+ years experience programming in Python
• 3+ years developing within Linux environments
• 3+ years systems programming experience (operating systems, process-parallelism, networking)
• 3+ years experience developing libraries and applications
• Strong understanding of databases and data management
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred

• Experience programming with C in Linux
• Familiarity with networking concepts
• Strong software testing background and discipline
• Experience with AWS, Spark, Docker, K8s and other big-data technologies

Education

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or a related field is required
