Our client is looking for an experienced DBA System Engineer (MSSQL) to join a collaborative and growing team that supports complex and critical MS SQL environments. You’ll be responsible for ensuring database stability, high availability, and performance, while also contributing to modern initiatives such as cloud adoption, automation, and best practice implementation.

This is a hands-on, technical role with direct impact on live systems and the customer experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide 3rd-line support for MS SQL Server environments (on-premises and Azure).

• Perform installations, upgrades, and configurations of SQL Server infrastructure.

• Ensure Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA) are in place and optimized.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune performance across multiple SQL environments.

• Contribute to automation initiatives and implement SQL best practices.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve incidents and drive improvement.

• Maintain documentation and standardized procedures to ensure team-wide consistency.

• Suggest proactive improvements to customer environments and internal processes.

• Stay updated on database technologies and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role as MSSQL DBA.

• Deep knowledge of MS SQL Server administration and performance tuning.

• Experience with both on-premises and cloud environments (preferably Azure).

• Familiarity with Always On, Failover Clustering, and Reporting Services.

• Strong troubleshooting skills using monitoring and diagnostics tools.

• Scripting knowledge and experience with database security (encryption, data masking).

• Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and a collaborative mindset.

• Passion for technology, eagerness to learn, and adaptability to new challenges.

• Relevant certifications in SQL Server are a plus—or a willingness to pursue them.
