They are seeking a Mid-Senior Automation Engineer to join their Backup Automation team. You will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and scaling automation solutions for their Shared Backup environment and Commvault Backup & Recovery platform (Windows Server–based). Working closely with fellow engineers, you will help drive efficiency, reliability, and compliance in a fast-evolving infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and expand automation within the Backup environment (Commvault).

• Define and implement standards and best practices for infrastructure and applications.

• Design, test, and manage automation tools covering development, implementation, and operational processes.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab) and integrate with REST APIs.

• Manage the automation ticket queue: bug fixing, feature requests, and product improvements.

• Ensure compliance with security and governance standards.

• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation (one week at a time).

Requirements (Must-Have)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or 3–5 years’ demonstrable experience as an Automation Engineer.

• Strong knowledge of Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Jenkins, and Git.

• Proven experience in Windows environments (Linux knowledge is an advantage).

• Familiarity with DevOps principles and automation practices.

• Ability to work independently, proactively, and with high attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Commvault Workflows, Sentry, Poetry, Splunk.

• Familiarity with Agile/Kanban methodologies.

• Exposure to both Windows and Linux operating systems.
