As IIoT Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the digital transformation of global manufacturing and maintenance operations. You will work on next-generation data acquisition, real-time analytics, and edge-to-cloud connectivity across a wide range of production environments. You will enable smarter, more connected factories—where machines communicate, processes self-optimize, and operational decisions are powered by data. You will aim to unlock efficiencies, reduce downtime, and lay the foundation for predictive and autonomous operations.
Join us to combine hands-on engineering with data-driven innovation and will work closely with automation systems, enhance data quality through intelligent processing, and shape the future of how we collect, interpret, and act on industrial insights at scale.
YOUR NEW KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, configure, and maintain data acquisition systems and interfaces between devices (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, sensors) in compliance with the IEC 62443 / ISA-99 purdue model.
• Interpret and model industrial data structures to enable efficient and accurate data collection and transformation.
• Develop and implement algorithms for data normalization, enhancement, and virtual KPIs using mathematical processing techniques.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot data flow issues between edge, cloud, and OT systems.
• Set up and manage edge computing platforms and protocol converters, ensuring secure and reliable data bridging.
• Implement robust data lifecycle management practices, including system monitoring, diagnostics, and incident response.
• Configure and manage IIoT gateways, data pipelines, and facilitate cloud integrations with attention to security and scalability.
• Contribute to architecture discussions around unified namespace, digital twins, and digital threads within IIoT ecosystems.
• Show capability in scripting or programming for automation and data transformation (e.g., Python, SQL, or equivalent).
• Ensure cybersecurity and compliance with ISA-95 and ISA-99 standards, including secure remote access and data protection measures.
ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?
• Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems with hands-on experience in PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and sensor integration within manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to design and manage data acquisition systems and edge computing platforms, supporting real-time and historical data applications.
• Experience with IIoT communication protocols such as MQTT, HTTP, AMQP, and OPC UA, along with a solid understanding of industrial protocols like S7, Modbus TCP/RTU, Profinet, and Profibus.
• Solid understanding of cloud-based IIoT data integration, including gateway configuration, edge-to-cloud pipelines, and secure connectivity.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, SQL) for automation, data transformation, and diagnostic tooling. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and deployment workflows is a plus.
• Experience with data modeling, normalization, and algorithm development for virtual KPIs and advanced analytics.
• Familiarity with ISA-99 (IEC 62443) and cybersecurity practices for industrial networks and remote access scenarios.
• Strong documentation and collaboration skills; able to operate in agile, cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both OT and IT stakeholders.
