We are seeking a highly motivated Automation, Electrical, or Pneumatic Engineer with strong expertise in the marine sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of marine systems, including control systems, automation, and pneumatic mechanisms. You will be working with a dynamic team on cutting-edge projects to ensure the smooth operation of maritime vessels and offshore equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automation, electrical, and pneumatic systems aboard vessels and marine equipment.
Install, test, and commission new systems and equipment on marine vessels and offshore platforms.
Perform diagnostics and inspections to identify problems with existing systems and implement effective solutions.
Collaborate with project teams to design and implement marine system upgrades and retrofits.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and operational procedures.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and marine classification societies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the marine industry, with a focus on troubleshooting and installation of systems.
Strong knowledge of marine automation, electrical circuits, and pneumatic systems.
Hands-on experience with marine control systems, PLCs, sensors, and hydraulic/pneumatic actuators.
Familiarity with marine classification standards (e.g., DNV-GL, ABS, Lloyd’s Register) and safety regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in high-pressure environments.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Willingness to travel, including work aboard vessels or offshore sites as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with SCADA, HMI systems, and marine instrumentation.
Certifications in marine electrical, automation, or pneumatic systems.
Knowledge of vessel power systems and propulsion control.
