devops engineer

We are looking for a DevOps engineer to join our talented IT team and contribute to building the GitOps capabilities for provisioning and deploying in-house developed applications. He/she will work closely with the Developers’ and System Engineers’ teams and use their feedback to innovate, automate, drive process and service improvements on the available systems.

Key Accountabilities

• Build and Maintain Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and automation tools in close collaboration with Technology Operations & Cloud Infrastructure Division.
• Manage CI/CD Pipelines: Develop, expand, and optimize continuous integration and continuous delivery systems.
• Enhance Reliability: Implement proactive alerts and troubleshoot infrastructure/software integration issues to maximize reliability, uptime, and performance.
• Maintain Security and Compliance: Assist in maintaining infrastructure security, managing permissions, and ensuring compliance with best practices and industry standards.
• Collaborate Closely: Partner with software engineers and product managers to support infrastructure needs, and system improvements.

Knowledge and experience

• BSc degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or other science degree.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in similar roles.
• Experience in VMWare vCenter, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Good knowledge of source code management tools (Git, SVN, etc.).
• Scripting skills in more than one of the following languages: Bash, Ruby, Groovy, Python, PHP, Perl.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab Runners or similar

It will be considered a plus if you have experience : 

• in systems engineering/administration.
• in using Configuration Management or Deployment tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Helm).
• with cloud services management (GCP, Azure, AWS).

• Excellent problem-solving skills to develop quick and effective solutions for complex issues.
• Eager to learn new things and to share his/her own ideas.
• Fluent in both Greek and English.
• Fulfilled military obligations (for men).
