restaurant hostess - amanzoe

We are currently seeking a graceful and service-driven Restaurant Hostess to join the Food & Beverage team at Amanzoe. As the first point of contact in our restaurants, you will play a key role in shaping the guest experience by creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing reservations and seating, and supporting the seamless flow of service with warmth and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, using professional etiquette and presentation

• Coordinate reservations and maintain the seating plan to optimize the guest experience and ensure smooth service

• Set up and maintain the hostess stand, reviewing reservations and assisting with lounge/restaurant setup

• Ensure menus and guest information materials are clean, current, and well presented

• Possess a solid understanding of the food and beverage menu, including ingredients and availability

• Assign seating based on service standards, timing, and server workload

• Communicate effectively with servers and restaurant team to anticipate guest needs and manage guest flow

• Respond to inquiries about the restaurant and hotel services both in person and via telephone

• Handle guest feedback or concerns gracefully, escalating to management when necessary

• Support the team in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the restaurant and entrance areas

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hospitality environment is preferred

• Excellent verbal communication skills in English; Greek or other languages are an advantage

• Naturally hospitable with a polished appearance and strong interpersonal skills

• Organizational ability and attention to detail are essential

• Confidence in using reservation software and phone systems

• Availability to work in a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays
