Aksia is actively seeking a detail-oriented Operational Due Diligence Analyst with a strong finance background to join our team in Athens. In this role, you will specialize in analyzing alternative investment fund documentation with a focus on finance-related terms. Fluency in English and a deep understanding of finance topics are essential for success in this position. While based in our Athens office, you will collaborate closely with colleagues globally.

Responsibilities:

• Perform financial analysis of the audited financial statements of hedge funds, private credit and private equity funds, real estate funds, etc.
• Calculation and analysis of fund’s KPIs.
• Identification of numbers critical to the fund’s financial performance in an effort to locate potential risk sources for investors.
• Analysis of fund expenses and capital transactions throughout the financial year.
• Identification of all investment products and their liquidity.
• Presentation of fund loans and credit agreements, related party transactions and anything unusual
• Works closely with Senior Analysts and Directors of the financial statement team and works along with colleagues from Aksia’s global offices.
• Finally, perform ad-hoc operational due diligence requests across Aksia’s global offices.

Job Requirements:

• BSc in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Banking, or relevant academic field.
• MSc in Accounting and/or Finance is desirable.
• Fluency in English (both oral and written).
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point).
• Up to 2 years of experience as a financial analyst or in a similar role or in the finance industry is looked upon favorably.
• Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP will be appreciated.
• Qualification in related disciplines will be considered an asset.
• Fulfilled Military Obligations (if applicable).
