Financial Reporting Officer

Responsibilities:<ol><li>Analyses fleet emission and performance data that will be used in the feasibility studies of new technologies.</li><li>Issues internal reports on fleet emissions and other relevant subjects.</li><li>Attends vessels to perform in situ research and gather relevant data, as required.</li><li>Cooperates with other departments to identify means and actions required to improve performance and reduce vessels’ emissions.</li><li>Coordinates with the Technical / Operations / Vessels’ Performance Monitoring departments to gather relevant data and operational feedback.</li><li>Cooperates with Vessels’ Performance Monitoring &amp; IT departments to collect, store and transmit vessel’s data to the head office.</li><li>Investigates and researches new technologies, conducting their evaluation through feasibility studies (techno-economic reports).</li></ol>Qualifications / Experience:1. Research & Development Analyst

Software Engineer

Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assisting the fleet operators in all aspects of the day-to-day operations, monitors the daily communication with the vessels and sends messages and instructions to the vessels or third parties under the supervision and instructions of the fleet operator or the operations manager.</li><li>Updates the company’s the position list and the operations department’s files and records as and when required.</li><li>Appoints agents (via HarborLab or otherwise) and informs company’s departments about changes in the vessel’s itinerary and the appointed agents in every port under the supervision and instructions of the fleet operator or the operations manager.</li><li>Distributes various weekly reports, such as the position list, cargo holds condition, significant events report etc., under the supervision of the operations manager.</li><li>Assists the fleet operator with the various documents and questionnaires required during fixture negotiations.</li><li>Providing administrative support e.g. taking messages, arranging meetings, sending and handling courier parcels etc.</li><li>Processing third parties’ invoices for payment.</li></ul>Qualifications / Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate degree in Shipping.</li><li>Knowledge of basic shipping terms, basic charter party clauses, familiarity with vessels’ description.</li><li>Sea-going experience will be an additional asset.</li><li>Fluency in English.</li><li>Computer literate.</li><li>Analytical skills and attention to detail.</li></ul>

Assistant Operator

Responsibilities:<ul><li>Handles the assigned fleet’s C/P claims (off-hire / demurrage / other disputes) presented by / or to Charterers, collaborating with the Post Fixtures Officers team, as required.</li><li>Controls hire and freight collection.</li><li>Handles / follows up on undisputed balances, invoices against charterers’ hire statements and funds received from charterers and their balances.</li><li>Monitors vessels’ voyage and daily operations to follow up on fixtures and potential claims.</li><li>Prepares weekly and other relevant reports, as requested by the Post Fixtures Manager or the top management team.</li><li>Checks and submits for approval the brokerage commission invoices and forwards same to the Accounting department for settlement.</li></ul>Qualifications / Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor degree in shipping, law, chartering or any relevant field.</li><li>Minimum 4 years of experience in post-fixing and claims handling at a ship-owning company, preferably with bulkers.</li><li>Excellent knowledge and understanding of Charter Party clauses and claims handling.</li><li>Excellent negotiation skills.</li><li>Attention to detail.</li><li>Fluency in English.</li><li>MS Office Literacy.</li></ul>

Post Fixtures Officer

Responsibilities:<ul><li>Conducts Internal ISM/ISPS Audits and MLC inspections to assess the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the established controls and procedures.</li><li>Prepares the vessels as required in order to comply with international auditing requirements.</li><li>Supports the vessels through External ISM/ISPS Audits and MLC inspections.</li><li>Drafts the Internal Audit plan/charter and prepares Audit reports.</li><li>Keeps records of imposed Non Conformities/Observations from Internal &amp; External Audits and follows up corrective actions in order to enhance the implementation of respective requirements.</li><li>Monitors certificates, Internal &amp; External Audit reports through Navision in order to ensure for the validity onboard the vessels and the will be carried out within the required interval.</li></ul>Qualifications / Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies or in a relevant field.</li><li>Postgraduate degree in Maritime Studies or in a relevant field will be considered an asset.</li><li>Minimum 3 years of experience at a similar position in a shipping company.</li><li>Knowledge of applicable ISM / ISPS / MLC standards.</li><li>Certified Auditor from recognized training center.</li><li>Computer literate.</li><li>Fluency in English.</li><li>Excellent communication skills.</li><li>Ability to monitor and stay abreast of developments in legislation and international requirements changes.</li></ul>

S&Q Auditor

Responsibilities:<ul><li>Organizes and implements courses of action for matters of technical nature arising onboard vessels.</li><li>Instructs, coordinates and monitors works / repairs.</li><li>Follows up on the maintenance status, condition and operation of assigned vessels and co-operates with the crew, in order to ensure that assigned vessels are operating in a safe and efficient manner.</li><li>Attends vessels and periodically sails on-board to ensure the technical condition of the equipment.</li><li>Monitors and verifies vessel’s performance, supervises repairs, reports findings, follows-up closure of defects etc.</li><li>Provides training and technical advice to shipboard personnel, as necessary.</li><li>Implements effectively preventive maintenance of ship’s hull, main machinery, deck machinery, etc.</li><li>Monitors Class and Flag State requirements and plans required surveys accordingly.</li><li>Deals with any damage repairs or modifications, preserving the vessels commercial competence.</li><li>Monitors all technical problems, major defects and follows-up, until corrective action is verified.</li><li>Controls and monitors the lub-oil and bunker quality and consumption.</li><li>Prepares repairs / conversions, dry-docking, special surveys, damage and voyage repairs, and specifications and supervises the execution of all such works.</li><li>Attends delivery of new acquisitions.</li></ul>Qualifications / Experience:1. Degree in Marine Engineering / Naval Architecture and minimum 6 years of office experience or Chief Engineer’s license, minimum 3 years of sea service as Chief Engineer and 1 year of office experience as Superintendent Engineer.2. Technical Superintendent

Responsibilities:<ul><li>Communicates to Masters Voyage instructions, port requirements, local regulations, cargo requirements and precautions, ship’s charter party description and applicable clauses.</li><li>Checks&nbsp;cargo docs, LOIs, bunker requirements and authorizes bunker invoices.</li><li>Issues voyage instructions, ship’s cargo holds preparation instructions and Monitors ship’s cargo holds condition and preparation.</li><li>Communicates with charterers via broking channels.</li><li>Monitors the actual day-to-day performance and financial expenditure of the vessels.</li><li>Coordinates with Chartering department in describing vessel’s particular characteristics and reviews Charter Party clauses.</li><li>Appoints cargo and bunker surveyors and port agents and arranges various services that the ship requires. Updates position list and position books, checks with agent the ship’s prospects and approves D/As.</li><li>Liaises with the Insurance and Claims Departments in handling of claims, hazardous situations, accidents and P &amp; I involvement.</li><li>Monitors the performance of the vessels based on charter party and Company’s requirements and guidelines. Also monitors the daily performance at Sea with regards to speed, consumption and weather conditions.</li></ul>Qualifications / Experience:<ul><li>5&nbsp;years of office experience as Operator&nbsp;in a shipping company with bulk carriers.</li><li>Fluency in English.</li><li>Computer literate.</li><li>Communication &amp; negotiation skills.</li></ul>

Fleet Operator

Responsibilities:Supports all quality, health, safety, security and environmental matters.Assists his/her supervisor to follow up on the implementation of the emergency response plans, the ISM / ISPS / MLC codes, as well as of any other international or local regulations.Provides vessels with class and flag certificates necessary for trading, as instructed by his/her supervisor.Implements the Environmental Management System (EMS) and promotes the environmental awareness of the vessels and the office personnel.Monitors that the Company’s Safety and Environmental protection systems, policies and working instructions are properly and effectively implemented.Monitors and supplies the service of alcohol meters.Arranges and follows up on fresh water and crew drug and alcohol tests.Keeps record of vessels’ logbooks and endorsements.Enters all MSQ data in the Company’s electronic system.Inserts department’s invoices in the system and follows up on DAs. Qualifications / Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies or in a relevant field.Postgraduate degree in Maritime Studies or in a relevant field will be considered an asset.Minimum 4 year of experience at the Safety &amp; Quality department of a shipping company.Knowledge of ISM / ISPS / MLC.Computer literate.Fluency in English.Excellent communication skills.

MSQ Coordinator

Responsibilities:<ul><li>Installs and configures computer hardware operating systems and applications.</li><li>Sets up new users' accounts and profiles.</li><li>Supports the office personnel through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.</li><li>Performs hands-on technical maintenance tasks on the Company’s servers, telephone cables, desktops, operating systems and software applications.</li><li>Troubleshoots system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.</li></ul>Qualifications / Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Telecommunications, or any similar field.</li><li>Previous experience in a similar position on IT related job will be considered an asset.</li><li>Fluency in English.</li><li>Excellent communication skills.</li></ul>
