Your role as a Data Protection Specialist will focus on assisting the Privacy & Confidentiality function by promoting the internal privacy program aiming to achieve high-end protective measures for personal data that Deloitte processes and to ascertain that all data processing activities comply with the applicable regulatory framework. In an operational environment with an involvement in complex contract structures, with high expectations from clients and with increasing regulatory restrictions from authorities, Hellenic Cables is looking for a Legal Counsel to strengthen its Legal Team.     As a Legal Counsel, you will be part of Hellenic Cables’ group legal department supporting the group’s operations. Responsibilities:   Your function will mainly focus on contract law, construction law, public procurement law, both at national and international level, in relation to the complex contract structures. In close cooperation with the other Hellenic Cables departments, you will assist the company’s projects before contract award (review and advice on tender documents, contract negotiation, etc). You will also handle any legal issues may arise in relation to the company’s business operations in various areas of law (corporate law, banking law, civil law, etc). You will also provide support on a project-related basis and from a contractual perspective, in executing the project contracts Hellenic Cables has entered into with clients or main contractors and the subcontracts and supply agreements thereunder (contract management). This will include in particular: proactively monitor contractual rights and obligations under the contract and/or subcontract(s). ensure that any contractual entitlements are timely and duly notified to the relevant parties/stakeholders in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and/or subcontract(s). ensure contract compliance; drafting, reviewing, negotiating and managing subcontracts’/supplier’s agreements; variations’ initiation and management; claims management.
