Monitor and control the safe and cost-efficient technical operation of assigned LNG vessels using the available resources, the defined parameters of cost, commercial viability, and operational excellence in line with Owners’ expectations. &nbsp; Key Accountabilities: Technical Support <ul><li>Understand the customers’ contractual agreements to be able to deliver the ship management services for each vessel, in a cost-efficient manner. </li><li>Review the compliance of deliverables from subcontractors’ agreements and requirements to ensure the optimum, efficient, and safe operation of each assigned vessel. </li><li>Monitor the operations of equipment and machineries, identify potential discrepancies, and suggest solutions to enhance vessels’ efficiency, performance, and safety. </li><li>Participate in the development of maintenance and repairs plan. Ensure that time schedule, deliverables quality and budget are within the borders of the contractual agreement and organization’s procedure. </li><li>Project the requirements in maintenance and repairs activities, spare parts, and technical training of the vessels. Forecast the budget needed, report to Manager and remain within the limits of the established maintenance plan. Upon approval, follow up its execution, report, and discrepancies, and propose solutions. </li><li>Oversee all technical operations, ensure timely and accurate completion of dry-docking, maintenance, and repair activities. </li></ul>Purchasing Activities <ul><li>Monitor and assess the requisition requests received from the vessels. </li><li>Ensure that the quality and quantity of the Compliance Matrix of spares and consumables are in accordance with BSM’s Procedures. </li><li>Execution of Technical Inspection / Audits </li><li>Manage all vessel visits, audits, and inspections from planning to implementation. </li><li>Produce and submit vessel visit reports to the Fleet Manager and/or Managing Director, apply proposed corrective actions. </li><li>Liaise with the LPSQ department to secure the alignment of all technical requirements and standards of the fleet with the Company’s LPSQ policy and relevant legislation, contributing towards environmental protection. </li><li>Liaise with Fleet Personnel Manager on issues concerning potential loss caused by human factors. </li><li>Keep up-to-date with the developments in the maritime industry, to identify and propose relevant improvements and technical solutions. </li></ul>Departmental Operations <ul><li>Review and offer potential improvements on technical issues identified from both onboard and shore-based teams. </li><li>Provide reports involving incidents, technical developments, maintenance activities, repair progress, current operational status, docking, budget spend patterns in a timely and quality manner. </li></ul>Management of Resources Review performance appraisals for senior officers on board and provide feedback and support for their career development RequirementsEducation &amp; Work Experience: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture or </li><li>Minimum 3 years of sailing experience as Chief Engineer </li><li>3 year as a Technical Superintendent within a ship management / owning company </li><li>Experience in LNG Vessels will be considered as an advantage </li></ul>Job Specific Skills: <ul><li>Strong knowledge of vessels’ technical requirements and regulations </li><li>Excellent project management skills. </li><li>Good people management skills. </li><li>Very good organizational skills. </li><li>Teamwork and cooperation. </li><li>Fluency in English. </li><li>PC literacy. </li></ul> BenefitsWhy you should join us! <ul><li>Career development opportunities&nbsp; </li><li>Technical and soft skills training&nbsp; </li><li>Comprehensive health insurance coverage&nbsp; </li><li>Annual performance bonus&nbsp; </li><li>Gym/Entertainment benefits&nbsp; </li><li>Sustainability and wellness activities&nbsp; </li><li>Diverse workforce&nbsp; </li><li>Competitive compensation package&nbsp; </li><li>Flexible work opportunities </li><li>Be a part of the ever-growing Schulte group family!</li></ul>

Technical Superintendent - LNG

Take this opportunity to join our Fleet Management department as a&nbsp;Marine Superintendent. You'll be a part of a collaborative team that oversees vessel conformity with the requirements of flag states, classification societies, and port states, according to the International Safety Management Code (ISM). By joining this vital team, you'll ensure that the Technical and Marine operations of our managed vessels are safely and efficiently executed. Job Description: Oversees and monitors the overall safety, security, nautical and commercial operation (including commercial effectiveness and voyage efficiency) of the assigned ships. Ensure OHSE, Energy and Environmental policies are upheld. Key Accountabilities: Support our company's strategic goals Monitoring updates and proposing improvements in safety, security and commercial effectiveness and voyage efficiency of vessels assigned to fleet team by participating in relevant seminars, and implementing Group initiatives, alerts, and incident corrective actions. Marine support to ships <ul><li>Provide commercial and operational support to assigned vessel for the effective fulfilment of voyage and cargo requirements. </li><li>Manage relationship with owner and charterer </li></ul>Safety of operations <ul><li>Monitor navigational operation, voyage performance, commercial operation and cargo operation of the assigned vessel to ensure compliance with statutory industry standards, national and international rules and regulations, safety regulations and operational standards of our company and that of the vessel owner. </li><li>Assist (TSI) with identifying potential discrepancies from operational standards and proposes solutions for effective operation of the navigational and cargo equipment of the assigned vessels. </li><li>Monitors that all assigned vessels possess the required statutory certification for safe operation in accordance with Class, Port State Control and Flag State requirements, maritime legislation, safety regulations and operational standards of both our company and vessels owners. </li><li>Identifies elevated risk conditions and circumstances in a timely manner and provides support and guidance to Technical Superintendents and Masters to adequately mitigate such risks. This includes ship security risks. </li><li>Take the role of Company Security Officer. </li></ul>Management of marine inspections <ul><li>Supports Master with pre-vetting preparation, including internal SIRE inspection and risk assessment. </li><li>Support Master during vetting and third-party audits and inspections including SIRE, CDI, FSI, PSC. </li><li>Prepare responses to internal and third-party audits and inspections including SIRE, CDI, FSI, PSC and implement corrective actions. </li><li>Review of SMS safety related documentation. </li><li>In liaison with LPSQ and FPD, assist and support sea staff with alignment of marine requirements. </li><li>Assist with the Company initiatives regarding the human element. </li><li>Provide guidance on standards and policies contributing towards safety. </li><li>Provide guidance on standards and policies contributing towards environmental protection. </li></ul>Purchasing activities <ul><li>Provide guidance to TO in purchasing activities of the navigation, communication, safety, mooring equipment and other equipment. </li><li>Reporting </li><li>Enables the accurate and timely provision of information to clients and management of SMC, in order to increase client awareness on our services and enhance their satisfaction and commitment. </li><li>Develops all necessary reports and documentation and results and upon approval, submits them to ship owners, clients and management, thus contributing to the better collaboration, enhancement of clients’ commitment and promotion of Company’s profile.&nbsp; </li><li>Communicates with clients on operational issues as required. </li></ul>Provide post fixture services <ul><li>Interacts and builds a relationship with Owners and charterers. </li><li>Handling cargo claims and liaison with P&amp;I / Insurance as required and dealing with commercial disputes such as off-hire when required. </li></ul>Management of resouces <ul><li>Provides on-request feedback on performance appraisals developed onboard.
