ACT (the American College of Thessaloniki), the tertiary division of Anatolia College is seeking to appoint an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor to cover its immediate needs. The position is a full-time assignment for one year starting September 1st, 2025 with the intention to be renewable upon agreement of all parties.The full-time professor provides the expertise and knowledge that supports the college curriculum and programs, establishes courses following accepted higher education standards, teaches, advises students and supervises theses and engages students in learning activities. This position is intended to make a significant contribution to research and teaching capacity in the undergraduate and graduate programs in Psychology.Special emphasis is placed on the professor’s scholarly productivity and experience on attracting and managing funded research at national, international and European levels. The professor will provide administrative support in the BS in Psychology and MS in Industrial &amp; Organizational Psychology programs under the guidance of the Chair of the Division of Humanities and of the Coordinator of the Psychology at ACT.Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Demonstrate skill and knowledge in teaching discipline.</li><li>Keep pace with developments in the discipline.</li><li>Make continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing innovative technologies, methodologies, techniques, and delivery methods.</li><li>Develop and use a syllabus for each course within college, discipline, and departmental guidelines.</li><li>Advise students on an individual basis regarding the courses they need to take in order to graduate.</li><li>Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of stated course objectives, and inform them of their progress in the course in a timely manner.</li><li>Keep accurate student records and submit related reports within requested timelines.</li><li>Participate in discipline committee or program meetings and activities.</li><li>Review, evaluate, and revise program curricula and practices to assure compliance with professional standards and higher education.</li><li>Cultivate partnerships with other faculty members within and outside ACT for attracting research funding.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>A doctoral degree in Counselling Psychology or Neuropsychology or Social Psychology or Quantitative/Qualitative Research is required.</li><li>Published work in peer reviewed journals and conferences commensurable with the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor.</li><li>A minimum of three years of College Level teaching experience is required. College level teaching experience at a US accredited higher education institution is preferred. Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Psychology (Full-time)

The American College of Thessaloniki (ACT) is seeking applications for a faculty position in Psychology at the rank of Associate/Full Professor who would also serve as the Coordinator of the BS in Psychology and MS in Industrial &amp; Organizational Psychology programs. The position is a full-time assignment for one year starting July 1st, 2025 and may be renewable upon agreement of all parties. In addition to teaching/scholarly work, the Psychology Coordinator will provide a high standard of academic-related administrative support to the program under the guidance of the Chair of the Humanities and Social Sciences. In return, the Coordinator will enjoy a limited teaching load.The Coordinator will directly report to and closely work with the Division Chair to plan and implement the following activities:<ul><li>Plan, schedule and staff all courses for the Psychology programs, and those that are offered as service to other majors/special programs according to college, discipline, and departmental guidelines.</li><li>Review, evaluate, and revise program curricula and practices to assure compliance with academic and professional standards as well as state-mandated &amp; accreditation and validation guidelines.</li><li>Plan and offer such courses as appropriate for students with differing educational and experiential backgrounds and learning styles.</li><li>Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of stated course objectives and inform them of their progress in the course in a timely manner.</li><li>Advise students on an individual basis regarding the courses they need to take in order to graduate.</li><li>Keep accurate student records and submit related annual reports and forms within the requested timelines.</li><li>Establish new or reinforce existing relations with relevant parties/institutions and aim to increase student employability via internships or joint academic/professional trainings.</li><li>Coordinate the hiring process of new faculty and evaluate all Psychology faculty on an annual basis.</li><li>Assist in promotional activities of the program and other related programs in conjunction with the Marketing and Enrollment offices.</li><li>Organize program-related workshops, activities and events.</li><li>Participate in standing or ad hoc committees and oversee the daily administration of the program.</li></ul>Position Requirements<ul><li>A doctoral Degree in Counselling Psychology or Neuropsychology or Social Psychology is required.</li><li>A minimum of 5-year University/College level teaching experience or other relevant work experience is required.
