Position Summary

  • Oversee the laundry operations.

  • Ensure that all linens and garments are cleaned and maintained in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Managing a team of laundry /linen room employees, assigning tasks, and ensuring that they follow the proper cleaning procedures.

  • Responsible for maintaining inventory levels, ordering supplies, and keeping track of budgets.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure that all laundry items are properly accounted for and maintained.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Complete inventory of uniforms and linens.

  • Conduct monthly inventory of laundry supplies.

  • Report faulty equipment, maintenance needs, and safety hazards to manager/supervisor.

  • Train employees on all laundry procedures, including safety procedures and equipment operation.

  • Verify that laundry requests / Guest laundry is completed for each department as needed.

  • Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery.

  • Inspect linens and terry for damage.

  • Assist the Executive Housekeeper in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees.

  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications.

  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.

  • Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.

  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects).

  •  Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.

  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by the Executive Housekeeper.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma.

  • Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.

  • Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

  • Excellent command of English knowledge.

  • Strong leadership and team-coordination skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

  • Ensure adherence to company brand standards, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
