What you'll do
- Ensure on board safety and secure voyage
- Contribute to sustainable and efficient operations
- Attend regular meetings and training sessions
- Ensure compliance with patents and crew qualifications
- Maintain accurate and timely reporting
- Represent the Captain when required
- Make key decisions and lead with authority
Key requirements
- Boatmaster license and relevant river patents (Danube, Rhine, French unlimited length)
- Knowledge and use of VHF and radar operation
- Safety Expert (Sachkunde) certification
- Ability to sail independently under all conditions
- Strong leadership, decision making, and teamwork skills
- English language proficiency with additional languages (Dutch, French, German, Slovakian, Hungarian) as asset
- Maritime Studies
