About the job
The University of Nicosia invites applications for the role of Academic Affairs Officer for our upcoming Athens campus. This administrative role supports the efficient functioning of academic operations, with responsibilities ranging from student records and exam coordination to the preparation of academic documentation and reporting.
*Subject to meeting all regulatory and legal requirements in Cyprus and Greece.
Key Responsibilities:
Examinations & Records Management
- Provide administrative support for the processing of final exam results and maintain relevant records.
- Organize and oversee the submission of course files and grading materials at the end of each semester.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and institutional guidelines on academic documentation.
Support to Academic Staff & Students
- Collaborate with faculty to facilitate the timely submission of grades and related materials.
- Assist faculty in navigating grading and academic procedures.
- Coordinate with students to handle requests for academic confirmations, transcripts, and other official documents.
Graduation & Documentation
- Support the degree-issuing, processing, and delivery workflow.
- Ensure timely delivery of degrees and academic records to students.
Student & Institutional Support
- Manage inquiries and requests from current and prospective students.
- Support departmental operations and contribute to special projects as assigned by the Director of Academic Affairs.
- Maintain updated policies and procedural documents.
- Assist in the recognition and accommodation of student needs, including health and accessibility services.
Reporting & Quality Assurance
- Provide support on academic scheduling and reporting processes.
- Support data collection and feedback management to drive improvements in academic services.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in academic administration or another administrative role.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple academic processes.
- Familiarity with academic policies and documentation standards.
- Fluency in Greek and English.
Personal Attributes
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Team player with a service-oriented attitude.
- Adaptable and efficient in a fast-paced academic environment.
