Key requirements
- Expertise in Kinetic Typography and Motion Design Principles
- Proficiency with Adobe After Effects and Adobe Creative Cloud tools
- Strong skills in Storytelling through type and motion and Typography in digital and print environments
- Experience with Animation tools and Fundamentals of Animation
- Ability to apply Creative Coding for Motion such as Processing, p5.js, or GSAP
- Excellent professional interpersonal communication and strong spoken and written English
- Capacity for independent and collaborative work

The Frances Rich School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Deree – The American College of Greece, is seeking a Part-Time Instructor to teach Graphic Design courses in the Arts and Creative Industries Department.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Master’s degree (MA, MDes, MFA, or equivalent) in Motion Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Animation, Digital Media Arts, or a related field.
Terminal degree (such as MFA, MDes, or PhD) strongly preferred.
Equivalent professional experience in kinetic typography and motion graphics will also be considered.
Experience:
Professional experience in motion graphics, kinetic typography, animation, or visual communication design.
Teaching experience in undergraduate and/or graduate programs, preferably at an English-speaking institution.
At least one degree from a US or UK institution.
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in motion design, type in motion, and animation tools.
Knowledge:
The ideal candidate should have expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Kinetic Typography (conceptual and technical execution)
Motion Design Principles (timing, pacing, transitions)
Adobe After Effects and relevant Adobe Creative Cloud tools
Storytelling through type and motion
Typography in digital and print environments
Creative Coding for Motion (e.g., Processing, p5.js, GSAP)
Experimental Motion Design and Narrative Design
Fundamentals of Animation
Integration of Theory and Practice in Design Education
General Skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong command of spoken and written English.
