About the job
The Frances Rich School of Fine & Performing Arts at Deree-The American College of Greece seeks a part time instructor to teach undergraduate courses in Graphic Design.
Required Qualifications:
- MA in Graphic Design / Visual Communication, with at least one degree from a US or UK institution.
- PhD or MFA helpful.
- Eligible for Ministry of Education College’s Faculty Registry Number.
Knowledge:
- The area of expertise should cover multiple design disciplines, such as: visual identity and branding, publication, environmental, typographic, packaging and/or digital design.
- Both theoretical and practical understanding of contemporary design discourse and practices.
- Innovative approach to current trends in the field of Graphic Design, including up-to-date knowledge of industry software and design workflows.
Experience:
- Teaching Experience in higher education in the field of Graphic Design / Visual Communication highly desirable.
- Proven record of accomplishment as a design practitioner with knowledge of practice-based research.
- Significant professional experience with proven track record in the field of Graphic Design / Visual Communication. Evidence of development and delivery of applied projects.
General Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
