The American College of Greece (ACG) is seeking a dynamic Junior Project Engineer to join the Technical Services Department. The successful candidate will support the Technical Director in the coordination and execution of new construction projects and building maintenance operations across the ACG campus. This is an office-based position with frequent site visits across the College’s extensive premises and campuses.
Job Responsibilities
Project Coordination
Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of construction and maintenance projects
Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and budgets
Support supervision of on-site works to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders
Contracts and Procurement Support
Assist in the preparation and review of technical and commercial documentation for tenders
Support the drafting, management, and monitoring of project contracts
Prepare technical and financial comparison tables for bids and supplier offers
Assist in supplier evaluation and procurement procedures
Follow up on procurement processes and delivery schedules
Technical Support
Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation
Assist in addressing technical issues during project implementation
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and safety requirements
Maintenance Coordination
Support the planning and monitoring of building maintenance activities
Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance tasks
Maintain records of maintenance schedules and interventions
Administrative and Organizational Support
Review drawings, BOQs, and technical documentation
Prepare reports, presentations, and meeting minutes
Maintain project documentation, correspondence, and filing systems
Support the coordination of meetings and internal communications
Perform any other duty as assigned by the supervisor
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil engineer or surveying engineer)
Master of Science will be considered an asset
2–5 years of relevant experience (entry-level candidates with strong potential are also encouraged)
Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with project management tools and AutoCAD is a plus
Skills and Competencies
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Analytical thinking and attention to detail
Good understanding of construction and technical processes
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Professional discretion and reliability
