About the job

The Information Resources Management of the American College of Greece is seeking a full time Junior Systems Administrator to work as an integral part of the routine administration operations of IT department. Under the supervision of the Coordinator of Databases Management, he/she will be responsible for the administration and support of the institution’s student information system and various campus information platforms and systems that support the daily activities for students, faculty, staff, and administrators.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computing Information Systems or related field

  • Fluency in the Greek and English language (oral and written) at a proficiency level.

  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft 365 Suite including relevant numerical and data analysis/reporting tools

  • No previous experience required; related experience will be considered a plus.

Knowledge:

  • Experience with Transactional SQL

  • Familiarity with data management principles and data access technologies

  • Experience in Database Design practices

  • Experience with reporting and BI tools (preferable Infomaker, Power BI)

Responsibilities/Specific Job Duties

  • Train and support staff and users in the use of the student information system (SIS) to provide them with the required knowledge of the SIS in order to perform their duties. Provide support to staff across various departments by assisting them with procedures, processes, and system-related tasks whenever needed.

  • Assist in the generation of Reports from the SIS and related databases to provide offices with information that support daily processes as well as reports that will support decision-making.

  • Perform system administration tasks including setting up new users, assigning permissions, uploading data and maintain data to assure database integrity and security.

  • Test, communicate and implement system enhancements, patches and updates to keep the institution’s SIS and related databases always up-to-date.

  • Perform proactive monitoring of the SIS and related databases and correct all deficiencies as needed to sustain functionality.

  • Configuring and maintaining the Salesforce platform, developing and documenting procedures, and ensuring efficient and consistent system usage. Create and update standard operating procedures, manages user access by overseeing roles, profiles, permission sets, and security settings, and conducts regular access reviews. Create and update report and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

  • Assist in the implementation, integration, and setup of new systems while ensuring they connect seamlessly with existing platforms and workflows. This includes supporting system configuration, coordinating data flows, and validating that integrations function correctly and securely. Collaborate with teams from various departments to gather requirements, troubleshoot compatibility issues, ensure smooth adoption with minimal disruption to current operations and document procedures.

  • Perform any other duty as assigned by the supervisor.
