The American College of Greece (Aghia Paraskevi Campus) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join the Office of Human Resources. The successful candidate will provide office and administrative support to the HR team in order to ensure the smooth operation of the Human Resources department.

Main responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire hiring process, including drafting contracts and managing ERGANI submissions, handling terminations, and managing schedules and absences.

  • Assist in conducting background checks and other aspects of the hiring process.

  • Manage the annual leaves/absences system and report leaves through ERGANI (monthly and annual submissions) to support employees and meet legal requirements.

  • Accurately enter and maintain employee data in HRM information systems.

  • Efficiently organize and maintain HR files and records.

  • Organize and oversee the occupational doctor and safety engineer services to ensure the College’s compliance with the legal framework and facilitate employees.

  • Assist in the basic screening of job applicants, including CV distribution and maintaining an organized filing system, to streamline recruitment procedures.

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Accounting or HR related fields

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources.

  • Excellent command of English and Greek (both written and oral)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and HR-related software.

Required Skills:

  • Efficiently managing time and prioritizing tasks

  • Ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information

  • Dependable and consistent in performing duties

  • Strong Attention to Detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of accounting and payroll legislation
