About the job
The School of Liberal Arts & Sciences at Deree-The American College of Greece is seeking a full-time laboratory technician with expertise in molecular cell biology and/or biochemistry.
Job Responsibilities:
- Engage in the preparation and instruction of teaching laboratories.
- Support daily operations within the laboratories.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Contribute to the supervision, maintenance and smooth functioning of the laboratories.
- Support faculty members in research.
- Ensure laboratory work complies with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications:
- BSc in Biology or Chemistry.
- MSc in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry/Biological Chemistry or related subject.
- Excellent communication skills in the English language.
- Previous experience in a laboratory environment, preferably in cell culture and/or biochemical techniques.
General Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to collaborate many different people in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to support students and faculty members in laboratory-based courses and research.
