About the job
The Department of Communication, Frances Rich School Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at Deree-The American College of Greece is seeking a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate must have a solid academic background and practical knowledge in advertising communication, especially in one or more of the following areas: digital marketing, strategic planning, and/or brand management. Responsibilities for the position include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research in one or more of the above areas, contributing to curriculum development, and providing service to the Department/School and the College.
Qualifications:
PhD in advertsing communication or a related field.
Track record of publications and/or grant funding
Eligibility for Ministry of Education registration number.
Required field knowledge & experience:
Proficient knowledge in the broader field of advertising communication and of at least one of areas identified in this call : digital marketing, strategic planning, and/or brand management.
Very good knowledge of the advertising industry and related professional practices.
Clearly defined research interests and expertise in digital marketing, strategic planning, and/or brand management.
Teaching experience at undergraduate and/or graduate levels, preferably at a US or UK higher education institution.
Desired field knowledge and experience:
Experience in the advertising industry.
Knowledge of more than one area of study in advertising communication identified in this call.
Administrative experience as area/programme coordinator or director of studies.
Experience in course and curriculum design and development.
Experience in accreditation or validation of academic programmes.
General Skills:
Dependability.
A commitment to student-centered learning.
Excellent interpersonal skills and outstanding command of spoken and written English
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
