The Department of Management, School of Business and Economics at Deree – The American College of Greece is seeking a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of Business Analytics. The successful candidate should demonstrate a strong research record and potential, and teaching experience in business analytics and its applications to managerial decision-making. Responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, research in a related area, curriculum development, and participation in department and college service. The position offers the potential for involvement in EU-funded R&D projects through the ACG-Research, Technology & Innovation Network (RTIN).

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Management Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics or a closely related field.
  • At least one degree from an English-speaking accredited institution (desired).
  • Teaching experience at undergraduate and/or graduate levels, at an English-speaking higher education institution (desired).
  • Eligibility for Ministry of Education registration number.

Required field knowledge and experience:

  • Proficiency in quantitative methods for business decision-making.
  • Experience with analytics tools such as R, Python, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in business analytics applications such as forecasting, predictive modeling, or optimization.
  • A research agenda and a record of peer-reviewed publications and/or grant funding in relevant areas.

Desired field knowledge and experience:

  • Familiarity with big data, machine learning, and their applications in a business context.
  • Experience with enterprise-level data platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle Analytics).
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in data-driven business strategy.
  • Experience with online or hybrid teaching models.

General Skills:

  • A commitment to student-centered learning.
  • Ability to contribute to curriculum development and innovation in teaching.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively and independently.
