The Procurement Category Analyst supports sourcing activities, evaluates supplier performance, and identifies cost-saving opportunities within assigned categories. The role analyses market and supplier data, ensures compliance with procurement policies, and collaborates with business units to meet their requirements. The analyst also leads supplier negotiations and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance value and efficiency across the organization.

 OPPORTUNITIES

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of procurement categories to identify cost-saving opportunities, market trends, and risk factors.

• Collaborate with business units to understand their requirements and tailor procurement policy to meet their needs.

• Evaluate and monitor supplier performance within specific categories.

• Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, considering both cost and service levels.

• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures during sourcing activities.

• Review contracts end-to-end to ensure accuracy, compliance with company policies and legal requirements, and identify cost-saving opportunities, completing reviews within agreed timelines

• Analyze data to provide insights into market dynamics, supplier landscapes, and emerging technologies.

• Utilize procurement tools and systems to gather, organize, and analyze data related to indirect procurement activities.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of contracts, supplier information, and procurement performance metrics.

• Docusign and Power BI knowledge will be an asset.

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers within procurement categories.

• Address and resolve issues with suppliers, working closely with business units to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

• Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans as necessary.

• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement within specific procurement categories.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and service standards.

• Ensure compliance with procurement best practices and industry benchmarks

 SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of procurement experience in a large international company.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret procurement and market data.

• Experience leading supplier negotiations and achieving cost-saving outcomes.

• Ability to review and interpret contracts for accuracy and compliance.

• Proficiency with procurement tools and systems; Power BI and DocuSign are assets.

• Demonstrated ability to manage supplier performance and resolve issues.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Knowledge of procurement best practices and sourcing processes.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
