What you'll do
- Document state-of-the-art permanent magnet technologies
- Couple magnet technologies with their magnetic properties
- Develop R&D roadmaps for next-generation magnetic materials
- Document development methods from alloy selection to heat treatments
- Perform data-driven root cause analysis of magnetic, mechanical, or processing failures
- Author and maintain SOPs, manufacturing instructions, and training materials
Key requirements
- Expertise in rare-earth magnet processing and powder metallurgy
- Hands-on experience with alloy processing, powder preparation, magnetic alignment, sintering, and heat treatments
- Strong knowledge of microstructure–magnetic property relationships
- Familiarity with thermal processing systems and inert-atmosphere powder handling
- Experience using magnetic characterization techniques
- Structured problem solving using data-driven and metallurgical methods
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Materials Science / Metallurgy / Ceramics / Physics / Related Fieldpreferred
