What you'll do
- Operate materials synthesis equipment such as shear mixers, ball mills, muffle furnaces, and tube furnaces
- Conduct ceramic fabrication processes including slurry mixing and thermal processing
- Operate ceramic material testing equipment for routine performance evaluation
- Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring a clean and organized work environment
Key requirements
- Machine operation for material synthesis including shear mixers, ball mills, muffle and tube furnaces
- Ceramic fabrication processes and operation of ceramic material testing equipment
- Experience in powder metallurgy, ceramics, cement, or powder-processing industries
- Troubleshooting powder-processing and production equipment such as kilns, furnaces, ovens, mills, mixers, and presses
- Material handling, weighing, batching, preparation of powder materials
- Commitment to safe working practices, quality and accurate documentation
- Ability to lift 25kg
