The machine shop in Athens Engineering Office is seeking a talented CNC Programmer/Machinist to help advance Tesla’s mission of accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy. The machine shop supports engineering operations across Tesla.

Τι θα κάνετε

  • Program, setup, and run 3-axis vertical CNC lathe

  • Machine complex components to tight tolerances in various materials with tight deadlines

  • Cut material, build tooling, set fixtures, run programs, deburr, and finish parts.

  • Use various inspection and measurement tools to validate your work

  • Tracking and documentation of machining processes and results when necessary

  • Collaborate openly with engineers and team members to find solutions, and proactively communicate with them through verbal, email, phone, and other internal electronic channels.

  • Perform calibrations on equipment.

  • Complete required preventive maintenance. 

  • Provide feedback on manufacturing methods and technologies.

  • Collaborate with design engineers to gain an in-depth understanding of the design intend and independently work towards the most effective solution.

  • Conduct experiments in accordance with all safety, quality, and efficiency standards by following written and verbal work instructions. 

  • Manage suppliers to execute projects according to the design specifications and timeline commitments.

  • Create and define supplier technical and quality requirements based on project requirements.

  • Design fixtures and equipment for testing in prototype and production environment.

·         Maintain clean and safe work areas. 

Τι θα έχετε μαζί σας

  • Several years of CNC lathe CAM programming experience (Mastercam preferred).

  • Ability to identify and procure effective tooling and work-holding solutions.

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings, documents, and GD&T

  • Thorough knowledge in measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, bore gauges, optical comparator, etc

  • Knowledge of material machinability and material selection.

  • Experience with material removal processes.

  • Demonstrate innovation, technical excellence, attention to detail and self-direction.

  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and mathematical competency

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment with tight deadline.

  • English fluently in speaking, reading and writing.

  • Ability to lift 25 kg.
