What you'll do
- Ensure safety of all guests throughout the flotilla
- Greet clients and assist with boarding
- Provide detailed onboard briefs covering safety and yacht systems
- Control stock of vital spare parts on lead yacht
- Assist flotilla skipper with safe mooring of yachts
- Handle client queries and help with flotilla requirements
- Socialise with guests and assist with organising social events
- Maintain cleanliness and good presentation of lead boat
- Complete turnaround service checks, yacht preparation, and deck washing
- Brief clients on yacht systems and safety equipment
- Perform maintenance and repairs to yacht equipment
- Conduct proactive and preventative daily maintenance checks and repairs
- Service engines including oil and filter checks and changes
- Maintain outboards for tenders
- Respond to emergency breakdown callouts for fleet
- Assist with general running of the base and other duties as advised by Base Manager
Key requirements
- Diesel engine maintenance and 2 & 4 stroke outboard maintenance
- Yacht sailing experience with safety and system briefing skills
- Knowledge of 12V DC electrical and marine plumbing systems
- Preventative maintenance and oil and filter checks/changes
- Emergency breakdown callout and customer service skills
- Teamwork, time management under pressure, and social event organisation

About the job
Sunsail is recruiting flotilla technicians based in Lefkada to work in the Mediterranean for the Summer. Full seasonal roles are available on a one-week or two-week flotilla route. Full and high-season positions are open, and following successful summer placements, winter opportunities may be available.
Primary duties will centre around the yachts, the base and ports of call. You and your lead boat team will be the face of the company. Working hours vary, and you MUST be flexible to operational requirements. You may sometimes be required to assist with other flotillas or base duties. At the beginning and end of the season, you may be asked to carry out fleet re-fit/lay-up. The yachts are prepared for the upcoming season or furloughed for winter during these periods. It includes painting, cleaning, repairs, and anything else required to prepare the yacht for the season or placed under furlough.
What you will be doing

Efficient stock control of vital spare parts stored on the lead yacht
Assisting the flotilla skipper with the safe mooring of yachts
Assisting with the general requirements of flotilla, including any client queries or problems
Socialising with guests
Assisting with the organisation of social events, including group meals and Welcome Parties
Cleanliness and good presentation of the lead boat at all times
Completing turnaround service checks, yacht preparation and deck washing
Briefing clients on the yacht's systems and safety equipment
Maintenance and repairs to yacht equipment
Proactive and preventative daily maintenance checks and repairs.
Engine servicing, oil and filter checks/changes
Maintenance of outboards for tenders
Emergency callouts for breakdowns on any of the fleet
Ensuring the safety of all clients, including safety briefings
Assisting clients with queries and problems
Assisting with the general running of the base
Any other duties as advised by the Base Manager
What we are looking for
Experience maintaining diesel engines and 2 & 4 stroke outboards
Yacht sailing experience (RYA Day Skipper/ Competent Crew desired)
Good understanding of 12V DC electrical systems and marine plumbing systems
Practically minded-with an ability to tackle problems
Ability to work through pressurised conditions and with time constraints.
Experience in a customer-orientated environment
