What you'll do
- Ensure the safety of all clients throughout the trip
- Act as the first point of call for all general client problems
- Deliver full first-day briefing and daily briefings to clients including local information
- Prepare yachts on turnaround days, including laundry, starter packs, and cleaning
- Greet clients and assist with boarding, provide individual welcome briefs
- Coordinate group meals, parties, competitions, tours and social events
- Manage prize-giving including making and buying prizes
- Account for and manage flotilla budgets
- Conduct regular inventory checks of domestic and safety equipment
- Address client concerns about cleanliness or equipment deficiencies
- Issue and collect relevant paperwork from clients
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the lead boat at all times
- Assist skipper and technician with guest support
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Base Manager
Key requirements
- Yacht Sailing Experience such as RYA Day Skipper or equivalent
- Customer Service skills in a client-facing environment
- Event Coordination experience for large groups
- First Aid certification desirable
- Problem Solving and Time Management abilities under pressure
- Teamwork and Communication skills with a positive, social attitude

Living on board with the customers, our bareboat skippers are required to plan and adapt the charters itinerary dependent on each customer’s preferences, weather forecasts, and perhaps even any secret hidden local gems.
