We are currently recruiting a Base Technician to work in Lefkada, Greece. Working hours vary and you must be flexible to operational requirements. Please note that this is a full-time, permanent position.
What you will be doing:
Completing turnaround service checks and yacht preparation
Briefing of clients on yacht mechanical systems and safety equipment
Maintenance and repairs to all yachts and yacht equipment– including mechanical, electrical and plumbing, as well as outboard engines
Proactive and preventative daily maintenance, including checks and repairs
Engine servicing such as oil and filter checks/changes
Emergency call outs for breakdowns
Competent movement of yachts between anchor and the dock, and refuelling
Ensuring the safety of all clients
Assisting clients with queries and problems
Assisting with the general running of the base and customer service support
Any other duties as advised by your Line Manager
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Experience maintaining diesel engines and 2 & 4 stroke outboard engines
Thorough understanding of 12V DC electrical systems and yacht plumbing systems
Practically minded with an ability to solve problems
Comfortable prioritising and staying on track with tight time constraints
Experience interacting with guests
Sociable and positive personality
A strong team mate
Yacht sailing experience is desirable
Well organised and able to prioritise multiple tasks
A flexible working approach, able to meet operational demands in terms of duties and working hour.

Living on board with the customers, our bareboat skippers are required to plan and adapt the charters itinerary dependent on each customer’s preferences, weather forecasts, and perhaps even any secret hidden local gems.
