What you'll do
- Check stowage plans for all voyages
- Check passage plans
- Prepare chartering questionnaires with the operator
- Coordinate loading and discharging sequences with the Master
- Ensure vessel compliance with the UKC policy
- Participate in weekly operations meetings
- Participate in courses and additional learning opportunities
- Support junior Operations team members in developing their skills
- Carry out projects assigned by the Director of Operations
Key requirements
- 3+ years' experience
- Captain Class A License
- Bulk carrier operations and maritime operations
- Stowage plan checking, passage plan checking, and loading and discharging sequence coordination
- UKC policy compliance and chartering questionnaire preparation
- English fluency and computer literacy
- Operations meeting participation
