What you'll do
- Conduct ongoing market research for key MEP systems and packages including price movements, availability, and supplier capacity
- Develop and maintain an MEP materials intelligence library with preferred manufacturers, approved products, and compliance certificates
- Support MEP design development by proposing technically compliant alternatives and evaluating cost, performance, and supply risk
- Create and maintain MEP price logs, long-lead trackers, and supplier contact lists with regular updates
- Engage with manufacturers and contractors to understand product roadmaps, production capacity, and aftersales support
- Support procurement planning by packaging MEP materials for sourcing and defining evaluation criteria with stakeholders
- Collaborate with Commercial to align MEP benchmarks with budgets and support value engineering initiatives
- Ensure MEP sourcing activities comply with procurement policies, ethical sourcing, and project standards
- Maintain accurate documentation for MEP enquiries, quotations, technical clarifications, and recommendations ensuring full traceability
- Identify and mitigate MEP supply and delivery risks and propose contingency plans
- Continuously improve MEP templates, pricing logs, and databases and promote standardization by supporting category strategies
Key requirements
- 5+ years' experience
- Knowledge of MEP systems and materials management
- Experience in procurement planning and construction procurement
- Skills in value engineering and technical compliance evaluation
- Supplier and stakeholder management and negotiation skills

- Project management and English language fluency

About the job
Conduct ongoing market research for key MEP systems and packages (e.g., HVAC plant, ductwork, pipework, electrical distribution, lighting, UPS/generators, fire protection, controls/BMS), tracking price movements, availability, lead times, and supplier/installer capacity. Develop and maintain an MEP materials intelligence library including preferred manufacturers and installers, approved products, technical datasheets, compliance certificates (e.g., CE) and warranties.
Support MEP design development by proposing technically compliant alternatives to equipment and system selections, evaluating cost, performance, energy impact, constructability, program impact, maintainability, and supply risk.
Create and maintain MEP price logs, long-lead trackers (e.g., chillers, switchgear, transformers, generators, BMS), and supplier/contractor contact lists; regularly issue updates to internal stakeholders.
Engage with manufacturers and MEP contractors to understand product roadmaps, production capacity, testing requirements, spares/consumables, and aftersales support, and support mitigation actions such as dual sourcing and early procurement.
Support procurement planning by packaging MEP materials and systems for sourcing (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire), recommending contracting strategies, and defining technical/commercial evaluation criteria with project stakeholders, while preparing MEP option comparisons and recommendations that clearly set out technical compliance, assumptions, exclusions, risks, and cost/program/operational impacts for approvals.
Collaborate with Commercial to align MEP benchmarks with cost plans and budgets and to support value engineering initiatives, ensure MEP sourcing activities comply with internal procurement policies, ethical sourcing requirements, applicable codes/standards, and project quality, environmental, and H&S requirements, maintain accurate documentation for MEP enquiries, quotations, technical clarifications, comparisons, and recommendations ensuring full traceability and audit-ready records, identify and mitigate MEP supply and delivery risks and propose contingency plans, continuously improve MEP templates, pricing logs, and databases, and promote standardization and preferred MEP solutions by supporting category strategies and coordinating alignment with Design and Delivery.
What will you bring?
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in construction procurement, materials management, sourcing, or cost management, with strong exposure to MEP systems, equipment, and subcontract packages.
Demonstrated experience developing MEP benchmarks, evaluating alternatives/value engineering options, and producing clear technical and commercial comparisons and recommendations.
Strong understanding of MEP specifications, equipment schedules, installation quality standards, and testing/commissioning requirements.
Excellent project management and organizational skills, with effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to ethical sourcing, quality compliance, and transparent record keeping, with negotiation and supplier management skills.
Ability to manage multiple material categories and project priorities simultaneously under tight deadlines, fluent English required; Greek/ Spanish preferred.
