treasury accountant

We are currently looking for a detail-oriented Treasury Accountant with a strong focus on daily card transaction processing and multi-currency reconciliations. This is a hands-on role within our Accounting department, ideal for someone who enjoys working with complex payment flows and bank processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, foreign currency transactions, and electronic payment flows. You will play a key part in supporting the company’s financial integrity and reporting accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Process and record card transactions (POS, online payments) across various currencies on a daily basis.
• Perform reconciliations between card processor statements, bank accounts, and internal records
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of entries related to foreign exchange differences and fees
• Assist in the reconciliation of bank accounts and general ledger entries
• Support monthly closing activities and ensure compliance with MyData and internal accounting procedures
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., IT, Treasury, Commercial) to resolve discrepancies and improve process efficiency.
• Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time, including income tax, sales tax, and other regulatory filings.
• Stay current with changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in accounting or a similar finance role.
• Familiarity with multi-currency accounting and foreign exchange principles.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
• Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken.

Preferred:

• Experience with SAP (FI, Interfaces, MM modules, e-books).
• Knowledge of MyData electronic reporting requirements.
• Previous exposure to high-volume transaction environments.
