The Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all MRO activities to ensure the airworthiness, safety, and operational efficiency of the airline’s fleet.

This role involves ensuring the airworthiness and reliability of aircraft/equipment, optimizing maintenance schedules, managing budgets, and leading a team of engineers and maintenance professionals. The MRO Manager will also be responsible for vendor management, contract negotiations, and compliance with all applicable regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize maintenance schedules to minimize aircraft downtime while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee and manage all aircraft maintenance activities, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications within the MRO environment.
• Develop and implement maintenance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with EASA and any other relevant aviation regulatory bodies.
• Develop and manage the MRO budget, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage contracts and relationships with external MRO providers, ensuring quality service delivery, cost control, and adherence to safety standards.
• Lead and supervise a team of maintenance engineers, technicians, and support staff to ensure operational excellence.
• Coordinate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure the availability of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for maintenance operations.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to proactively address potential maintenance-related issues.
• Stay updated with industry advancements, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in aviation maintenance and MRO practices.
• Monitor and analyze maintenance performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices in line with industry standards and airline policies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics, Engineering, Aviation Maintenance Management, or a related field preferred.
• Extensive experience in aircraft/equipment maintenance, with a minimum of 3 years in a management role.
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements, including EASA, FAA and ICAO standards.
• Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations.
• Familiarity with inventory management principles and techniques.
• Experience with aircraft maintenance management systems.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and control costs.
• EASA Part 66 License is preferred.

Preferable Qualifications:

• Experience with specific aircraft/equipment types, namely Airbus and ATR family
• Lean or Six Sigma certification.
• Project management experience.
