cargo operations officer

The Cargo Operations Officer will be part of the Ground Operations team to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant handling of air freight by coordinating loading and unloading, managing documentation, and liaising with ground teams and authorities to keep cargo moving smoothly and on schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Plans shipments based on available cargo volumes and customer requests.

• Coordinates the procedures (preparation of shipping documents, track of orders etc.) to maximize the quality of the delivery.

• Acts as the point of contact for the customers related to their requests, schedule changes, status of the orders etc.

• Maintains updated records of orders and customers.

• Coordinates month end procedures (issuance of invoices, posting into accounting system, ensure timely collection of receivables).

• Supports cargo sales team in preparation of meetings, participation in tenders and periodical or ad-hoc reporting.

• Works closely with the cargo warehouse team, the logistics team for the transportation of Company material and the accounting department.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field.

• 1-3 years of working experience in Cargo, Logistics or similar roles (previous experience in Aviation industry is preferred).

• Familiarity with logistics software or transport management system will be considered an asset.

• Native speaker in Greek and fluency in English (verbal and written). Any additional foreign language will be considered a plus.

• IT literate (MS Office).
