Key responsibilities

The Systems/ Structures Engineer is responsible for engineering activity related to aircraft systems and structures, related components, interior and furnishings on the Airbus and ATR aircraft. The Engineer will support Line and Heavy maintenance, repair and modification of Airbus and ATR aircraft.

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop and issue detailed work instructions to accomplish minor and major aircraft structure repairs
• Evaluate damaged aircraft structure, parts and if required liaise with the original equipment manufacturer or Part-21 Organizations in order for appropriate repair schemes be obtained and applied
• Liaise with Part-21 DOA for the issue of Modifications required for the fleet
• Monitor fleet reliability regarding aircraft systems
• Provide engineering support to Maintenance and repair organizations to facilitate aircraft operations, repairs and/or maintenance
• Evaluate Airworthiness Directives to assess their application on the company fleet
• Evaluate manufacturer/vendors Service Bulletins and other approved data and recommend their embodiment as required
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting in support of the day-to-day operation
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Academic Degree in Engineering or a Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License Category B1 or C
• Eight (8) years experience in aviation maintenance environment
• Five (5) years experience in systems/structures engineering
• Strong understanding of EASA Regulations (Initial Airworthiness and Continuing Airworthiness)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong analytical abilities and excellent command of the English language
• Microsoft Office suite user
• Familiarity with Airbus and ATR aircraft shall be considered as a plus
