We are looking for a D365 F&O Finance Consultant for our client. In this role, you will support and guide customers throughout their post–go-live journey, ensuring continuity, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of their Finance processes within D365 F&O and Dynamics AX. You will act as a trusted advisor, analyzing business needs, designing solutions, troubleshooting functional issues, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver high-quality implementations. You will work directly with customers to optimize financial operations, drive innovation, and support ongoing development using structured methodologies.
What You’ll Be Doing
Analyze business requirements, write functional specifications, and design new Finance-related functionalities.
Resolve functional incidents, answer user questions, and ensure proper follow-up of tickets together with the Project Manager.
Gather customer needs and translate them into functional solutions in consultation with the Solution Architect.
Guide customers through the implementation, configuration, and testing of approved system changes.
Provide on-site or standby support when needed to ensure business continuity.
Work with Finance domains within D365 F&O and Dynamics AX, including financial accounting, controlling, budgeting, and cost accounting.
Handle subprocesses such as Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C).
Participate in solution design, configuration, and testing of financial processes.
Analyze and further develop customers’ business processes to improve efficiency and system usage.
Work closely with the development team to define and deliver custom functional solutions.
What You’ll Bring
2+ years of experience with D365 F&O and Dynamics AX, ideally across multiple implementations as a consultant or in a similar functional role.
Strong understanding of Finance processes: general ledger, controlling, budgeting, cost accounting, P2P, and O2C.
Results-oriented mindset, strong process thinking, and excellent analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively in dynamic environments, both independently and as part of a team.
Sense of ownership, accountability, and pride in delivering high-quality work.
Ideally, several years of experience in the financial sector (consulting or industry).
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure (Fundamentals) and/or document management systems such as Advanced Forms or Bottomline Transform is an advantage.
Valid Microsoft certifications are a plus.
